Tin House accepts applications beginning January 1. Students are encouraged to apply early, as many workshops fill rapidly.

You will be notified of acceptance or rejection within four weeks after receipt of your application.

General admission is granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Acceptance to the Workshop is based on the strength and promise of the submitted writing sample and the Tin House editorial board's evaluation of how an individual might benefit from the conference.

Past participants need to apply again. If you attended the workshop in 2009, all application fees are waived.
